Katherine Nichols has published hundreds of articles and essays as a staff writer and independent contractor, in addition to Deep Water, a narrative nonfiction book from Simon & Schuster. She is now in the process of completing two more books and adapting several of her own creative works for the screen. Previously, she wrote long-format sports shows for ESPN and was the co-producer, writer, and on-camera host for an adventure travel television series throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Islands.
As a business consultant, Katherine specializes in the fusion of storytelling and strategy. She works with real estate development and luxury hospitality firms, and the CEOs who run them. Her focus areas include strategic communications, branding, capital raise narratives, operations efficiencies, marketing, and speech writing.
Katherine earned an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management after previously completing a master’s degree and B.A. in English and American literature at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated in three years and was co-captain of the intercollegiate cross-country and track teams.
An athlete since age 7, she is a sub-three-hour marathoner and five-time qualifier and finisher (2 x podium) of the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Her lifelong passion for fitness and wellness permeates all of her endeavors.
